More Information
Housing and Food
The amount listed for Housing and Food includes food, utilities, and housing. It is higher than the figure charged by Housing & Food Services (based on double-room occupancy and the gold-level dining allowance) because it includes the cost of meals not covered in the campus dining plan.
What is the schedule for paying on-campus room and board? For students living on campus, room and board is paid quarterly. The first payment, approximately $3,100, is due on September 1 for autumn quarter.
Universal U-Pass
Fees include $240 per year ($80 per quarter) for the Universal U-Pass, which is charged as a mandatory fee to all students.
Health Insurance
Washington State Law (WAC 478-160-260) requires that all international students have adequate health insurance. All registered international students, regardless of visa type, are required to purchase UW student health insurance.
