Tuition fees and scholarships
At the moment there are no tuition fees at the University of Eastern Finland, but students must be able to cover all their own living costs in Finland. Own finances are also one of the requirements for the Finnish residence permit, and finances need to be available permanently on the student's bank account for the whole period the permit is applied for. Financing one's stay and studies in Finland by working is not possible.
The University of Eastern Finland is not offering any financial aid for students, although some programmes may offer scholarships.
Application fee / Application handling fee
Applicants to Finnish higher education institutions (polytechnics/Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) and universities) who are applying based on a qualification completed outside the EU/ETA -area will be required to pay an application fee of 100 €.
The application fee concerns applicants to Bachelor's and Master's level studies. Application fees will be collected for the first time when applying for studies beginning in autumn 2016.
