Non EU/EEA students
Students with citizenship in countries outside the EU/EEA (and Switzerland) are required to pay application and tuition fees for university studies in Sweden.
Tuition fees for non-EU students
Students from outside of the EU/EEA and Switzerland will be charged fees.
Fees will apply to undergraduate and graduate courses and programmes (i.e. Bachelor’s and Master’s level courses and programmes).
Search for programmes or courses at University admissions and you'll find information about the different fees.
Non EU/EEA students who will not pay tuition fees
Exchange students (from all countries) will not be charged tuition fees.
PhD programmes will not be affected.
Students who have already started studying before fees were introduced, will not be expected to pay. For example, if you began a two-year programme in 2010, you will be able to complete your studies without paying fees.
Information for students who have started a course or programme in Sweden before autumn 2011
If you started a course or programme before 1 July 2011, you may finish that course or programme without paying tuition fees.
If you apply for and are given a place in a new course or programme that started after 1 July 2011, you must pay a tuition fee for the new course or programme.
Application fee
When you apply for your programme at http://www.universityadmissions.se you must pay an application fee of SEK 900 (approximately EUR 100).
