  PhD Funding: PhD Funding packages will be determined on a yearly basis; students will receive notification of funding upon acceptance of their offer of admission.

  Extra Funding: Candidates may apply for, and if approved, be assigned teaching work in the Continuing Education or applicable undergraduate program. All candidates are encouraged to apply for external Tri-Council funding (e.g., SSHRC, NSERC, CIHR) in each of their first three years of the program.

  Faculty Research: If Nipissing Faculty have/obtain external funding, they may enhance student funding by offering them related Graduate Research Assistant work.

  Conference Travel Funding: A dedicated fund for student travel grants will be established, to which candidates can apply each year.

  Continuation Fee: There will be a continuation fee of $1,500 per term + ancillary fees to be paid following the first four years of the program. A continuation fee is applicable to students who do not register in any courses in a given term.​​​
