Minimum Requirements
To be admitted to the MA program in Bilingualism Studies, candidates must have: An honours bachelor's degree or equivalent in Second Language Teaching / Didactique des langues secondes, in Applied Linguistics or in a related discipline. OR A three-year bachelor’s degree in Applied Linguistics or a related discipline in addition to a university-level, university-administered advanced certificate in TESOL (Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages), representing a minimum of 30 credits. The minimum admission average is 70% (B), calculated in accordance with FGPS guidelines.

Minimum Requirements
B.A. Honours with a Major in languages, literatures, linguistics, translation, film studies, communication, international studies, intercultural studies, or in another discipline judged relevant. Fluency in English or French and a good knowledge of the other official language of the University of Ottawa is required. Knowledge of a third language is strongly recommended. Students with degrees from outside North America and non-English speaking countries will be required to present their TOEFL test results or a recognized test result for French as a second language. Minimum average of 70% (B) in last two years of study.
