Entry requirements
To enter a USC program you must meet the following:
be at least 18 years old when you start study
relevant program admission requirements
Master of Counselling
A student entering the Master of Counselling will normally be required to hold an approved 3-year degree in Counselling (AQF Level 7) or a Bachelor Degree (AQF Level 7) in other cognate areas as approved by the University.
Master of Business Administration MBA
To be considered for admission candidates would normally be required to:
possess an undergraduate degree from a recognised higher education institution or equivalent *
have at least two years relevant full-time equivalent work or other relevant experience; and
candidates whose first language is other than English must demonstrate an appropriate level of English proficiency.
Master of Education
an appropriate 4-year bachelor degree (AQF Level 7) qualification in the education discipline from a recognised tertiary institution
Master of Engineering (Transport Technologies)
To be eligible for entry into this program student's entering the Masters program will normally be required to hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree (AQF Level 8) from a recognised higher education institution.
Master of Information and Communications Technology
To be considered for admission candidates would normally be required to possess and undergraduate degree from a recognised higher education institution or equivalent. Students who have completed a Bachelor Degree (AQF Level 7) in Information and Communication Technology may be eligible to apply for 48 units of block credit. The 48 units (four courses) credited will be determined by the courses students have completed and will be assessed on a case by case basis.
Master of International Business
Students will require either:
a bachelor's degree in business or related field, or a degree with at least two thirds of completed courses in business or related field, from a recognised higher education institution, or equivalent
OR
for students with an undergraduate degree in a discipline other than business, the USC Graduate Certificate in Management or equivalent approved program of study
AND
applicants from a non-English speaking background must demonstrate an appropriate level of English proficiency.
Master of Management
A bachelor's degree (AQF Level 7) from a recognised higher education institution, or equivalent.
Students admitted to the program with a completed AQF level 7 Bachelor degree or equivalent in Business are eligible to have the volume of learning in this program reduced by 48 units.
Applicants from a non-English speaking background must demonstrate an appropriate level of English proficiency.

English proficiency test results are regarded as valid for two years from the test date.
These lists are not exhaustive. Other proof of English proficiency may be considered and applications are assessed individually.
Students progressing from the Tertiary Preparation Pathway (TPP) program to an undergraduate program, will need to demonstrate the English language proficiency required for entry to that program as indicated in either Table 1 or 2.
