套磁信要求
套磁信主题常见的问题
套磁的时候很多人写的题目就直接是help，或者i want to participate to your program之类的。这样的结果我不知道，因为我没试过。但如过我是教授的话不是很喜欢这个样子的。建议套磁的时候把教授发的文章题目作为套磁信的题目，这样的话教授会注意下。我开始套磁的时就用的这一招，效果不错，至少教授会觉得你看了他网页，或者说知道他是谁。不过后来嫌麻烦，就直接写的我自己感情趣的方向的名称。比如我想学蛋白质工程那我题目就直接写的：protein engineering～，这类信教授也都回复了我的。
如何让你的套磁信主题吸引教授
套磁和发水帖其实没有什么区别：要想人气足，都必须当好标题党。水帖的标题拟得不好，顶的人就会少：网友看见毫无新意的标题，直接忽略。套磁信的标题写的不好，回的人也会少：教授看见令人生厌的标题，直接删除。
很多人都有被垃圾邮件骚扰的经历。我曾经注册过一个邮箱，几乎每天都会有各种垃圾邮件袭来。垃圾邮件和正经邮件无法区分，于是我总会把每封邮件都打开读。但渐渐的，垃圾邮件看得多了，我发现几乎所有垃圾邮件都可以通过标题来识别：这些邮件的标题不外乎“你好”，“Hello”，“合作”，“订单”，“中奖”......诸如此类。从此以后，我不再打开每一封邮件，而是先把这些疑似垃圾邮件直接删除，然后再读剩下的邮件。
因此，写好你的邮件题目，不要让你的套磁信看起来像一封垃圾邮件！如果你用一些什么＂Hello＂，＂Good morning＂，＂Research＂，＂Thank you＂作标题，谁敢保证教授不会把你的邮件直接扫入垃圾箱？
那么，什么样的题目才是合宜的？一个好的标题，要能简洁地概括邮件的目的或内容。如果你对教授的某个研究项目感兴趣，就可以用这个研究方向作标题，例如＂Deformation and fracture of hexagonal close-packed metals＂或者＂Fabrication of semiconductor through chemical vapor deposition＂等等。然后在邮件的正文里，可以谈谈你对这个方向如何感兴趣，你有什么相关的学术背景，还有你对这个研究领域的任何见解。如果你对教授的某一篇文章很感兴趣，并且你的邮件正文里要谈到这篇文章，那么用这篇文章的标题作为邮件的标题也是个不错的主意。如果文章的标题过长，可以把它压缩一下。
此外，还有人喜欢用一种开门见山式的标题，比如＂Inquiry into graduate admission of fall 2011＂。这种题目我本人没有尝试过，不知道效果如何，有兴趣的同学可以自己去尝试。最后，我想说的是，套磁信的标题并没有一定之规。大家不要拘泥于我上面提到的这几种，一定要勇于创新。
