选择“提前录取”申请的优势
a. 相对“常规录取”来说,“提前录取”录取率比较高,通常占学校所录取学生的20%-50%。当学生选择“提前录取”就意味着学生把该所大学视为自己最理想的学校,这种忠诚行为会得大学的肯定和鼓励。所以,根据申请经验,对于平均分暂时还没有达到学校要求的学生而言,通过选择“提前录取”,可用对学校的“忠诚度”弥补了一点点的“分数劣势”。
b. 录取结果早知道,也就是说通过ED申请本科一般在12月中旬就可能知道是否已被录取,如若录取就省下大量精力和时间去做入学前准备了。
申请“提前录取”需要什么样的条件?
美国提供提前申请的学校数量较多,不只是排名前35的名校,50至80名的学校也提供“提前录取”名额。一般来说,托福80分以上、SAT1650分以上的学生都可以申请。条件好的学生能申请到前15的名校,条件中等的学生也同样可以申请到好的学校。
