贵阳是贵州省省会，因城区位于境内贵山之阳而得名。
贵阳是一座“山中有城，城中有山，绿带环绕，森林围城，城在林中，林在城中”的具有高原特色的现代化城市，享有“森林之城，休闲胜地”的美名。
早年的贵阳，房屋低矮，道路泥泞，天无三日晴，地无三尺平，人无三分银。地上随处可见垃圾；人们毫无愧疚地伸出手去采摘那些娇艳的花果；迈出双脚践踏那刚抽出嫩芽的小草；因为无聊而捕杀可爱的小鸟……在校园里，当我们说出一句脏话，踢开一次教室门，放学路上横穿马路，因一点小麻烦而动手时，“文明”这个词早离我们远远而去。
我们都生活在这片美丽的土地上，都头顶一片蓝天，脚踏这方土地。它有悠久的历史，灿烂的文化。甲秀楼，大小七孔，黄果树瀑布驰名中外。作为这个城市的一员，我们可以用我们的双手贡献一点力量，使我们美好的家园，天更蓝，水更清，山更绿，城更美！
近几年，贵阳市正飞速发展着，高楼耸立，车水马龙，现在，贵阳市全民动员，正在开展“三创一办”的活动，地上几乎看不到果皮纸屑了，草坪也绿了，路边的花儿更灿烂了，小鸟在枝头叫个不停。
“三创一办”人人参与，人人受益，人人有责，就让我们都行动起来吧！为建设好我们美好的家园尽一份心力，让贵阳“避暑胜地”的美名远播海内外，让这颗高原明珠更加耀眼灿烂！
贵阳是一个避暑的宝地，可是谁又会去想贵阳的冬天呢？贵阳的冬天四面寒风，偶尔下一点雪粒给这个没有雪的地方增添了一点情趣，公园里的湖面被被冻成玻璃般的平面可是一大仙景，尤其是湖面发散水汽的时候。即使是在寒冷的贵阳，人们也会感觉暖洋洋的如同回到春天一样，于是有人大清早的，依然不畏严寒坚持晨跑。
要说贵阳是个不下雪的地方吧，其实不然，只不过很少。这里的雪天并不是北方那样的鹅毛大雪，而是细细的、密密的，大概是因为这里的山太秀气了，山顶上的雪盖住了山顶的树，如同被一片片云彩遮住了。飘雪的时候天空很洁白，没有一点污渍，未被遮住的树木此时像是画家手中的水墨画，点缀着银装素裹的大地。
因为冬天温度很低的关系，所以贵阳还是凝结了一些冰雕，你可以随便从不知名的小花小草上采下片片冰花，晶莹剔透，由此可见贵阳还是一个自然的冰雕宝库哦。人们在雪地里打雪仗，你笑笑我，我笑笑你，驱散了寒冷的感觉，这一刻仿佛世界都是雪白的，到处是如风筝般飞翔的欢声笑语，半山处还有温泉，闲暇的人们喜欢泡在温泉里，舒服着呢。
在这四面寒风的冬季，没有哪一出不是上帝的杰作，到处充满着上帝创造的足迹和艺术。

“平等相处原则”的意思是行文不出现明显的带歧视或偏见的字眼，托福词汇学习包括男女性别，也要避免区别，以示“平等”。

所谓“言简朴实原则”，就是行文不啰嗦，句子应越短越好，托福高分写作技巧：如果一个字能说清楚的，就不要用两个字。

这句话中“At this point in time”表示“现在”，我们完全可以用now来代替。
