据介绍，寒假是高三生自我调整、自我巩固提高的关键时期。寒假里，考生的学习将由在校时的被动学习变为完全靠自己的主动学习。因此，考生要制订一套合适的学习计划和假期作息时间表，做到复习有计划，生活有规律。
高三生寒假在家里没有在校集体学习的氛围，但是不能想什么时候学就什么时候学，或学到哪儿算哪儿。假期复习计划一方面要包括学习知识内容的计划，比如寒假作业、薄弱学科的补习以及课外学习等;另一方面还要包括整个假期的时间安排，比如什么时间和家人串亲访友、什么时间进行体育锻炼以及什么时候学习等。
以往，很多考生放假后早上不吃饭，睡懒觉，尽情地放松，平时的生物钟完全被打乱。开学后，这些考生很难适应正常的作息时间，从而直接影响了新学期的复习状态。
高三生在制订一份详细的作息时间表时，要把每天的学习任务、学习时间具体化，比如早晨几点起床，晚上几点休息，上下午时间如何利用等。高三生寒假里要保持正常的作息时间，每天上午学习三个半小时，下午学习两个半小时。另外，每天还要坚持看半小时的新闻时事(电视或报纸)，并留出半小时的体育锻炼时间。
