这种问题很难回答，正确的回答应该是都非常重要，瘸腿的分数会有很大影响，但是需要纠正的一个观点是：“GRE作文是参考分数”。GRE作文成绩从来都不是一个参考分数，在标准化考试的成绩里占据核心的作用之一，并不是参考，甚至一些大学的研究生院，例如教育学、社会学等文科专业对GRE作文分数做了5分这样的单科要求。大家在美国大学的网站上检索便可知道，最经典的例子恐怕就是2003年哈佛大学研究生入学资格当时学校官方的通知：“考生必须持今年10月1日以后的有GRE作文环节的新GRE成绩。对于此前GRE考试成绩，哈佛强调考生应参加当年12月31日以前的GRE作文单科考试。”
同时在我和美国的多位教授的联系和交流中，例如哈佛大学的博士、现康奈尔大学的教授荣教授以及美国西北大学的Mitter教授，他们对于自己的学生非常看重他们的主观测试的分数是否理想，例如托福的口语以及写作成绩以及GRE的作文成绩。
因此给所有同学的建议，GRE考试的各个部分都很重要，没有一个是参考分数，这个和GMAT不同。大家都要争取考不瘸腿的分数。
